Project profiles.
CRW met all of our requirements and needs. - Jim Abrahamsen, Exec. Dir. of Operations, Sheridan School District
Jewel Square
When it came time to re-roof this multi-tenant commercial retail space, we reviewed the existing conditions and, together with the material manufacturer, mapped out a scope of work that would minimize disruption to the tenants while providing a long-term solution.
Prior to the start of the project, we provided an infra-red analysis of the existing roof to identify areas of wet roofing material. Several small areas of wet insulation were identified for removal and replacement. Our project manager also introduced himself to each of the building's tenants and notified them of the project.
The project entailed removing and properly disposing of the existing roof and flashing systems. The new roof included a 1/2", high density, wood fiber cover board and was completed with a white, 45-mil., TPO membrane to facilitate drainage.
The project was completed on time and under budget with no change orders. It also received a perfect score from GAF's warranty inspector.
CLOSEClimax Molybdenum Mine
Replace Roof
CRW is the preferred roofing contractor for the Climax Molybdenum mine. The re-roofing project was performed at the Lime Plant which remained in operation during re-roofing activities. Challenges included continuous mountain weather changes and adhering to a strict Mine Safety program.
The project included removing existing asphalt flashing and installing a cricket to facilitate drainage. CRW also installed gypsum cover board and a 60-mil PVC membrane in a fully adhered configuration.
The project was completed on time, within budget and without safety incident.
CLOSESheridan School District
Complete Tear-Off & Roof Replacement: 3 Sites
CRW crews installed the new roof systems over multiple school sites throughout the District. Two of the roof systems were scheduled and installed while school was in session. Extreme care had to be taken to isolate the project from the ongoing school activities. The project was coordinated so that tear-off activities and material deliveries occurred prior to the children arriving for school in the morning.
The project included removing and replacing existing ballasted, EPDM membranes with new tapered insulation and both a single ply, white, PVC membrane and a 2-ply, white, granule surfaced, modified bitumen system.
The project was completed on time and under budget with no change orders.
CLOSEHilton Hotel
Complete Tear-Off & Roof Replacement
CRW crews were faced with difficult flashing scenarios due to roof mounted telecommunication equipment. And access was limited as the hotel and restaurant remained open. A crane was utilized to load the new roofing material and to lower the existing rock ballast to the ground. Plus, a trash chute was not allowed by the Hotel. Therefore, the tear-off debris was lowered to the ground via a roof mounted hoist system. Additionally, 10,000 sq. ft. of the project was located directly over the Atrium Restaurant portion of the Hotel. The roof deck is exposed over this portion of the Hotel – 10 stories up. Extreme care had to be taken to prevent dust and debris from falling on the patrons who were dining below.
The project included removing and replacing the existing ballasted, EPDM membrane with a new tapered insulation system and a 2-ply, white, granule surfaced, modified bitumen system.
